General technical details concerning MIXOL multi-purpose tinting pastes

Depending on the paint concerned, MIXOL may be added up to a maximum of 10%. MIXOL should be thoroughly shaken before use and after use the bottles should be firmly closed. If this is done, MIXOL will not dry out or form lumps or skin. When stored, MIXOL is highly resistant to frost and heat. If it should freeze, it needs only to be thawed at room temperature and to be thoroughly shaken and it is then again ready for use. Special LW types, fast to light and weatherproof for outdoor applications, in ‘yellow’ (No. 26) and ‘red’ (No. 27) are also available. We also offer a universal ‘white’ concentrate (No. 25) for adding usually to colorless coatings and/or transparent paints, glazes etc. for indoor applications, e.g. on new wood etc. Where special materials are concerned, such as flexible polyester paints or latex paints on multi-polymer or pliolite basis etc., it should first be tested that the materials are compatible and do not tend to separate out. To avoid flocculation, it is preferable always to add the tinting paste first and only then to add thinner.
